Superior visual and thermal comfort

EnviroScreen has a woven screen-like construction, but with a clear textile appearance. Thanks to high reflectivity (74%), EnviroScreen Optimum lowers heating and cooling costs substantially. This results in a reduction of CO2 emissions, and therefore minimizes the greenhouse effect. EnviroScreen is Öko-Tex and Greenguard Certified.

The fabric in the EnviroScreen collection is extremely robust in contruction and metallised for solar control. Polyester yarn is woven in a new screen-like construction that combines a limited openness factor with excellent view to the outside. EnviroScreen provides visual and thermal comfort while maintaining a look with a textile character. EnviroScreen Optimum is the latest innovation in this screen collection. It is a durable product; It is formaldehyde and PVC free and 100% recyclable. The new Optimum material is Cradle to Cradle certified and is our most sustainable product contributing to LEED (USA) certification, Green Star (Australia) and Breeam (United Kingdom).

The ratio or percentage of solar energy reflected by the shading. With Verosol fabric reflection on the aluminium side. Abbreviations: Rs, Rsol. The higher the number the better.


The percentage of open area (pores) to the total area of the shading fabric. These pores are necessary to enable view through. Abbreviation: OF. The higher the number the better viewthrough.


Thermal heat loss (or gain) through a fenestration. The U-value reflects the energy flow through glass and shading when there is a temperature difference between outside and inside, and is the insulating property. Units are Btu/hr-ft²-°F or W/m².K The lower this U-value, the better the thermal heat insulation. The lower the number the better.


The ability of a material surface to radiate (infrared) heat out. Metals in general and specifically aluminium have low IR emitting properties.
